Ha! Nicki, lookit, I'm doing the tag! Well, sort of...
First order of business: My giveaway winner! I got a lot of entries, which was crazy, and I'm excited to announce that our winner for this is: *drumroll please*
RACHEL MEYER!
Congrats! I'll get that shipped to you ASAP!
Now, on to today's post!
2019 is shaping up to be a great year for new releases! I've already read (and screamed over) Holly Black's The Wicked King and Jennifer Nielsen's The Deceiver's Heart, my two most anticipated reads of 2019, and I have a long list of others that I just CANNOT WAIT for. *squeals*
These will be in no particular order, but I'll give the release date and a little bit about why I'm excited for each of them!
The Books

Sand Castle Dreams by Taylor Bennett
This one actually comes out today (squee!) and I have it preordered! I have the honor of knowing Taylor personally, and she is just the sweetest and most wonderful person EVER. I loved the first book in this series and I can't wait to see where Olive's journey takes her!

Flight of the Raven by Morgan L. Busse
Okay, so can we all just agree that the ending of Mark of the Raven was mind-blowing? I love Damien, Selene deserves a better life, and I'm kind of afraid of her mom--so I think this sequel is going to be pretty darn awesome. And I get to meet Ms. Busse at Realm Makers! I'm planning to buy this one there, assuming it is there.

Words on Fire by Jennifer Nielsen
Oddly enough, Jennifer Nielsen has become one of my favorite authors, mostly thanks to the Traitor's Game series. She's one of those people who proves the "writing rules" wrong--you CAN be a successful author, while writing in more than one genre! She writes fantasy and historical fiction, and I've loved everything I've read by her. This one is going to be about Lithuania during the Soviet Union era and ACK excited. I preordered this one too!

Four Dead Queens by Astrid Scholte
Look, I'm not even sure why I'm excited about this one? But it's physically sitting on my library's bookshelf right now! And I'm GOING to read it as soon as it's available! It just sounds really unique and good, right?

Again, But Better by Christine Riccio
I know nothing about this except for the fact that Nadine Brandes says it's one of her most anticipated books of the year and I trust Nadine Brandes. Also, college! This one is also preordered (are we noting a pattern here?!)

Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Robertson
I didn't really love An Enchantment of Ravens (it was cool, but meh), but this one just sounds amazing. Librarians, steampunk-y sounding inventions, and sorcerers? SIGN. ME. UP. I'm not going to say it again, but I, uh, preordered. Lol.

Abbie Emmons' book
Abbie is the sweetest blogger and makes the most amazing YouTube videos. I love her wholeheartedly and I can't wait for her book! I don't read much contemporary, but I think this one will be BRILLIANT. *grins*

A Curse so Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer
Brigid Kemmerer and I do not get along. I disliked Letters to the Lost (I know! Sue me!) and hated More Than We Can Tell, but I think this one sounds like it miiiiiiight be okay? I'm not sure yet. But I'm willing to try it. Beauty and the Beast retellings are always cool! (Although I don't think any of them can compare to my favorite one, which would have to be our own dear Christine Smith's Burning Thorns.)

Romanov by Nadine Brandes
I liked Fawkes--it wasn't my faaavorite, but it was still good. However, I did LOVE Nadine's Out of Time series, and I also just love Nadine? Plus, the World War I era! Lol. I'm also preordering this one and I can't wait for it!

The Boy Who Steals Houses by C.G. Drews
A Thousand Perfect Notes was possibly one of the best contemporaries I've read? And this one looks like it'll be just as good! Maybe not quite as compelling, since it's not about musicians, but still really, really really good. I needs. This one should be coming to my grabby hands toward the end of the month!

A Time of Trepidation, Pirates, and Lost Princesses by Nicki Chapelway
I've read the first one and I just did a giveaway for it! And not only that, but I get to BETA READ this one. Mwahahahaha. Let's see if I can remember anything at all that happened in the first because I have about the memory of a goldfish. But also: Easton and Chelsea. That's all.

Legacy by Shannon Messenger
I JUST WANNA KNOW WHY ONE OF THE TITLES CONSIDERED WAS "REMATCH" OKAY?! That better mean what I think it means!!!! If my OTP does not get together I might actually scream out loud. My precious little bbys.

The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black
And this is the one that doesn't come out until January 2020, but OH MY GOSH that cover. And the cliffhanger at the end of book 2...I wasn't really a fan of the Cruel Prince--I liked it, but not that much--but The Wicked King settled matters for me. And now I just wanna know what my sweet girl Jude is going to do, because she may well be one of my favorite YA antiheroes EVER.
Okay, your turn! What are some of your most anticipated YA books of 2019? Are you super excited for any of the books on this list? Have you read Porch Swing Girl? (Because YOU NEED TO.) Chat with me in the comments! Flail! Go crazy! XD
